Join us as Community Builder | Who are Community Builders Users (CBU) of RTI India?
We are happy to announce new voluntary position opened at RTI India: 'Community Builder' (CBU), for those who can provide sociability, support, information, a sense of belonging, and social identity to RTI India and it's Members.
RTI India Community has strong characteristics of having a: distinctive focus on RTI, integration of content and communications, a valuing of member generated content, an openness to information & access.
CBU is an enthusiastic Member who are supportive of all RTI India members, accepts individual styles of members and fills in gaps when/where needed in order to sustain itself and for the good of the whole of RTI India Community.
How to Join as 'Community Builder' at RTI India?
The methodology to join as CBU is simple:
- You visit User Control Panel
- You click on 'Group Membership'
- Join the Community Builder Usergroup, and fill-in the reason for joining.
- The Group Leaders reviews and approves your join request.
- You visit again and define your Visible Group Membership from 'Group Membership' Page.
You can un-join the 'Community Builder Usergroup' anytime by visiting 'Group Membership' page through your User Control Panel.
What is expected of Community Builders?
Community Builders are voluntary user group with strong desire to make the RTI India Community successful. The CBU's are expected to:
- Remain active at website
- Welcome New Members and pro actively help them to understand the ethics, vision, limitation and navigation structure.
- Watch over the forum threads so that no request for RTI help remains un-attended to. In case CBU cannot find reply to the Topic, it should be brought to the notice of active members.
- Fight spam and remove the spam from the board. Also report abuses of forum board like advertisers, Promoters, link Builders e.t.c.
- Maintain calm and peaceful environment of the community
- Prevent posting of Copyright material on RTI India Forums, and inform site moderators about any such reports to an extent possible.
- Participate in Internal Discussions with other Community Builders and RTI India Team Members.
What we don't expect?
- We do not expect Community Builders to be expert in RTI matters.
- We do not expect them to remain online always
What Special Status would be given to Community Builders?
- The Community Builders have the ability to close and open any thread.
- The CBU gets access to 'Internal Discussion' area with our RTI India Team Members.
- They are represented with this special Logo in all their posts:
 - The Username of the Group changes from normal black to 'Dark Green'.
- In case of disputes between members 'CBU's decision would be taken on more priority than regular/registered members, though decision would rest on Moderators/RTI India Team.
However the flow of decision would be:
Registered Members -> Regular Members -> Community Builder -> Moderators -> (Super Moderators -> Administrators) RTI India Team
What are the terms for remaining CBU?
- We reserve the right to approve, cancel, deny, ignore any application for CBU. We also reserves the right to limit number of CBU's based on our perceived requirements at RTI India without prejudice to any specific member.
- Your status of being 'Community Builder' does not grant you powers of Site 'Moderators' or 'RTI India Team' members.
- We would terminate the membership if CBU remain in-active for longer period of time; thus the work of 'CBU's is Activity dependent and naturally we would only honour those you devote their time and energy in building and growing RTI India community.
- We would also terminate the membership if in case of gross misconduct, or failure to maintain ethos and ethics of the forum.
- Those member who voluntarily joins us as CBU, would have option of display as Regular Member or Community Builder. if in case the Member decide to remain as 'Regular Member', the permissions of 'Community Builder' would be lost.
- In case of leaving the CBU membership, the member still remains the part of RTI India as 'Regular Member' and his participation level remains as that of 'regular Member'.
- The decision of RTI India team is final, and no discussion can be made in public forums or generally against the decision of the RTI India team Members.
