epf witdrawl - purchase of dwelling site - registered under spouse name

Kindly inform me purchase of dwelling site from EPF advances/widrawls can be registered under member spouse name or not.

As per epfindia website it says that it can be registered under member spouse name.

But, EPF office, Pondicherry says that withdrawal can be issued , if the site registered under member name.

Kindly help in this regards.

Why dont you show a print out of the website to the Puducherry office ?
If they still do not agree, ask them to give it to you in writing.

Thanks for the reply Karira, showed the printout and asked them to refer the website, still they do not agree. I just want to get confirm with through RTI. Will it be possible?

Yes you can get the certified copies of info under RTI. File an application with PIO of concerned office. Application will be as per CENTRAL Govt RTI rules.

Please provide me with the certified copies of rules/regulation (along with eligibility criteria) applicable on EPF advances/widrawls for HOUSE/LAND. IF the info is readily available on your portal, then also please supply me with the certified copy of the same along with link.
