Unauthorized consumer complaints forum
There is a site called consumercomplaints.in . Is this site really authenticated to post comments as complaints, who is verifying the complaint.
There are various complaints posted in the forum. How is it made sure that the complaints posted here are really valid ?
The search results in google make the complaints come up in the list. By having non-verified complaints, these posts will tarnish the current reputation of any organization if the complaints are not true. Our organization is one such victim. We are an education institution and there was a complaint posted against us, which is absolutely not true. We are not sure who posted that complaint.
So, we reached out to the admin of consumercomplaints.in to check if the complaints posted here are really verified and then posted. For which we get a response asking us to pay Rs.85,000/- (US$1500) to get it verified and removed. There is no contact address or a contact no. of that portal. Only an email id is provided. We wanted to get that complaint badly removed to not further damage the reputation of the institution.
Is there a way we can be helped ? And this can also help other organization which becomes a victim because of false complaints made against them.

There is no postal address for us to send a legal notice.
We sent a mail that we would be stating that we will report it Information & Broadcasting ministry in India. The below is one of the mail that we received from consumer complaints forum
" There will be no further communication, you still have an option to post your side of the story, it's free of charge. Furthermore, if another threat is received you will regret that you ever sent a message here. "
