Membership refused - Society Committee members demanding Money.

I have purchased resale flat in registered society at Koparkharane in April 2012. After 2 months society committee members started demanding 15000 rupees from for membership. After refusing to do same they said “you will not receive share certificate & Maintenance receipt on mentioning your name until you pay 15000 rupees”.

At the time of No objection certificate (NOC) issuance, society charged transfer charges of 25000 INR which is legal according to circular issued by “The Commissioner for Co-operation and Registrar Co-operative Society, Maharashtra”. We took up occupancy in April 2012 & started to pay regular maintenance charges as per society norms from May 2012. They issued us maintenance receipt of May 2012 mentioning my name. After two months society issued maintenance receipt on the name of previous owner. I wondered how they could do this by giving first receipt mentioning my name and other receipts mentioning previous owner name. I told them this is illegal & I am going to pay sum of Rs. 250/- towards value of 5 shares of Rs. 50 each and Rs.100 for membership as mentioned in model bye -laws of cooperative housing society.

From last three months Committee members demanding 15000 rupees. After refusing they started strange behavior. Society members mentally harassing us.

What should I do? Please help us.[/COLOR]
