POONCH: In continuation of the RTI awareness drive, Awake India organized two consecutive RTI programmes at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Poonch and Distt. Institute of Education & Training(DIET) which were attended by the students, teachers and principals of various Schools of the distt. Poonch.
Ayaz Mughal, Chairman Awake India apart from explaining the various sections of the RTI act also focused on the importance of the act in the present scenario. He said, “Corruption has seeped into the blood vessels of the society and we need to eradicate it and RTI is the best tool against it”. “It is us who have to take the initiative as there is no one else who would come in our support”, he added.

Lack of awareness is also very important factor which is a hurdle in the implementation of the act.
