bank promotional exams Ex-servicemen employed in the PSU banks are working at par with their fresher counterparts though no seniority on the basis of their past service is given to them. Please clarify why they should not be given opportunity to appear for the promotion examination meeting other eligibility criteria viz education, minimum years of service etc. except age. Since at the time of eligibility criteria set for the recruitment is - length of their past service in defence is deducted from their total age to draw them within the prescribed eligibility criteria. The existing policy is debarring from their right to career progression. a person retiring at the age of 40 (on an average) has got no chance for career progression which is highly partial. The present ex servicemen are equal to their counter parts if not better, in terms of education and grasping of financial things. Why not give him a chance to come up in life?
