The first AA issued orders to furnish the information required? In how many days the PIO is required to furnish the reply? If more than 30 days no reply is received , what is to be done? If reply is received after more than 30 days what is to be done?      |

p.esakkimuthu, When AA gave a order to PIO to furnish the information, did he specify something like "within XX days" or "immediately" or "urgently" or anything else ? I read the relevant portions of the act several times but things are not clear. My personal opinion is that a total of 45 days can be allowed for PIO to reply from the date of the first appeal. If reply is not received within 45 days, you can complain to the CIC or SIC as may relevant in the particular case. |
