Records more than 30 years
Hi ,
How to get the Transfer certificate from the college more than 30 years old.I got a <ACRONYM title="Right to Information">RTI</ACRONYM> reply from the concerned college the record is destroyed because its 34 years old.
Please tell me how to get the records more than 30 years old ?

Under RTI you will get the records which are available with the Public Authority (PA).
If the PA does not have the records, there is no way they can give them to you.
If you think that the College has the records which are 34 years old, then you can ask them for any proof or evidence that the records were destroyed.

Your case sounds similar to the one decided recently at CIC. Please go through Sec 8(3) cannot be unilaterally applied for info beyond 20 years.
It is also worthwhile to find out from the college, the details of rules governing the preservation and destruction of records.
Defeat is not final when you fall down. It is final when you refuse to get up.
