RTI Query for the mutation of land

    Hi
    1. I have one case regardnig mutation of land in (Ranchi) Jharkhand state.
    2. The land is in the name of my grandfather. He had purchased around 50 - 60 deci of land in main area in around 1980's.
    3. Presently the land prices in Ranchi have risen drastically.
    4. My father who is the only son of my grand-father, wants to get the Mutation done for the land
so that it can be transferred in his name.
    5. Since it is a big area at almost the heart of Ranchi, many land mafia's have eyed this piece of land. Even the govt officials
are asking for huge bribe to do the mutation.
    6. Please can any one of you from this forum assist me about what my father can do? He has also written to the chief minister of
    Jharhkand, but they are ineffective?
    7. My father had also written to RTI about his plot of land , but they had knowingly replied his about different plot of land?
    8. So what could be the possible questionnaires which i can put forward for the second applette commission.

    Shailmala,

Can you please elaborate on the contents of the RTI application your father filed and the reply he received ?

If he is not satisfied with the reply of the PIO, he must file a First Appeal with the First Appellate Authority. The First Appeal has to be filed within 30 days of receiving the PIO's reply.

If you post more details, our members will be able to guide you in drafting the First Appeal.

Please also have a look at the various links under the "All about RTI" icon on the home page.
