After RTI what?

Dear friends,
Only to obtain information is not important.We have several agencies like Lokayukta,EOW,CBI,Courts,CVC,Police,PIL etc.
Kindly discuss in detail about options.

The choice depends on the information and controlling authorities and the best option always is a PIL before High Court or Lokayukta as other agencies are not that much co-operative and accessible for common citizens and have a lot of rules, and they always retransmit your application to the concencerned Vigilance department of that particular dept/organisation. This is not easy and if media supports in larger public interest, some thing is possible otherwise the entire effort is a futile exercise.

But it becomes a possibility that after complaining in lokayukta or in any other agency we can file RTI applications to know the status,to find the causes of delay etc.etc.RTI will help us in every step.Of course it is a very hard job but RTI is there.We should take advantage of the fact that every govt. department is in ambit of RTI and we can bring almost all of their actions,steps,moves,executions,doings,procedures,dealings etc.in ambit of RTI.

Can members list down all possible options that a RTI applicant has after receiving information through RTI ?

For example:

1. Give publicity to information received, in the media
2. Use information received to file a complaint with the head of the public authority / government
3. Use information received for filing further RTI applications
4. Use information received in court of law (existing case or file a PIL/Writ)
