About Two Wheeler Reg number

Hi all,
This is Rajkumar from Chennai,an Instrumentation Engineer wish to get information regarding the registration number for my two wheeler.I purchased a two wheeler when I was there in Chattisgargh by loan and I'm paying the EMI.Now I shifted to chennai,do I need to change the vehicle's reg number?If so to whome I have to contact?
