Upon browsing the forum I came across a thread titled "in whose favour do you draw the instrument?" initiated by member rajatnarain. An advice in this regard is posted by member mpai which is as follows "Send a postal order worth Rs.10/- and leave the name blank. Write in your rti application that this space has been left blank as you do not know the name in whose favour it should be drawn and request the Pio to write it himeself." Is this process worth implementation? |

@ Abhinav thanks for your nice moral story. however its quite unfortunate that i couldn't ventilate the importance for which i 'm keeping on questioning in this forum. moreover, we all know that a query may have solutions of several approach. Now it's upto the individual which would h undertake. For instance your reply of browsing the site http://www.rtiindia.info/ didn't gave me any info about whom to pay the fees. However the query was nicely solved by Kushal Sir. Anyways thanks for composing a long mail in enlightening me with your valuable suggestion. |

In West Bengal The fee for Form A u/s 6(1) of RTI ACT 2005 is Rs 10/-. Buy a court fee stamp of Rs 10/- and affix the same on your application to concerned authority. This is only payable one time ie. when you are making your first query. |

Yes, i've been able to file the application using 10 rs court fee as the application fee. For AICTE, upon enquiry to the concerned dept, I came to know that postal order should be in favour of Member Secretary, AICTE payable at New Delhi. |
