Question: How to get certified copy of registered agreement of a Flat ?

Can anybody approach the Registration office to get a copy of a Registered Agreement for a Flat, to check the ownership of a flat?

Will the Registration Office issue the certified copy on the basis of Name of the owner and address of the flat WITHOUT any reference number of the current agreement?

If your agreement is lodged for registration, you can obtain a certified copy under the RTI act from Collector of Stamp Duty.

Anyone can get a certified copy of a document registered in the that partcicular Registration Office where it was registered by application in the prescribed form to that office. Separates rates are laid down. This facility is in existence much before the enactment of the Right to Information Act 2005. You have to provide the complete details especially the Registration Number and date of the agreement. There is facility available in the Regisration Office to search for the document from their old Registers But you should have at least some idea on the approxzimate date of registration and any other particulars required to search and locate it.

as i donot have approximate date & registartion no. of particular flat but i know the name of party, adress, builder's name etc. in this case can i find the registred agrement copy

yes, you can find it with your information. Apply for an Encumbrance certificate on that particular property for a desired period. You will get the list of all transaction that has take on that property, then you can choose which document you need.

There is a separate application for it, you can get it by applying through that application, without the use of RTI.

Now SARITA is being used for registration of documents, you will get any kind of property information if you have one data it may be of name or property number.
