Committee to recommend members of commission include Information and Communication Minister and president of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists Nepal News Friday, August 24, 2007 The committee formed for recommending the names for members of proposed Information Commission held its meeting at Speaker's office in parliament secretariat on Friday. Chaired by Speaker Subas Chandra Nemwang, the recommendation committee includes Information and Communication Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara and president of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) Bishnu Nisthuri. The discussion, however, could not finalise the names of the candidates for the commission but agreed to discuss the matter further in the evening. According to the newly passed Right to Information Act, the commission consists of three members appointed by Speaker as per the recommendations by the committee.
