Hi,
Earlier i was working for an organization more than 6 years and i was provided with Employee Provided fund (EPF). In my current organization there is no EPF. It is more then 6 months i quit from my old organization.

Question:
1. Now I would like to know whether i can transfer Employee Provident Fund (EPM) amount to a Public ProvidentFund (PPF).
If possible
2. what is the procedure i should follow ?
3. will it incur any cost / charges as per Income Tax ?

As of now i don't have PPF account, if it is possible for me to transfer the amount i will go ahead opening PPF account.
