Need Help: Sanjay lake - Delhi

Hi Team,

I wish to file a RTI to find out how the funds have been used for the development of Sanjay lake in East Delhi. There have been number of articles in newspapers regarding plans to develop this area into a tourist and adventure sports hub but on ground nothing has happened and this (once upon a time) beautiful lake is dying. As per my understanding both DDA and DTTDC (Delhi Tourism) have a joint responsibility for developing and maintaining this lake. Also, with Commonwealth Games round the corner, its a pity that nothing is happening for the development of the area. The lake is dying!!! I really want to find out what is happening and also who is accountable for this initiative. Apart from a tourist hub, this area is also home to a lot of migratory birds. I don't know where the buck stops - The environment department, forest department, DDA, DTTDC, MCD, Commonwealth Committie, forest department, Delhi Arts and Urban Commission...its a maze. I checked the website of DTTDC, and to my mind they are responsible for the development. Can RTI be used as an effective tool to make things happen on the ground?
