By IE Wednesday September 5, 02:31 AM Nearly two years after the Right to Information (RTI) Act came into force in the country, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has cleared the implementation of the Act in the state. A committee of Judges had been constituted by to study the act and frame rules to govern its implementation. Sources contended that certain provisions and clauses have been added to the original Act. A senior High Court official MM Dhonchak has been designated the public information officer. All applications under the RTI Act will be filed with him. The pending applications under the act will be taken up for disposal by the High Court. The High Court has also designated certain officials in the district courts for dealing with the Right To Information applications. HC clears RTI implementation - Yahoo!
