Occupation certificate of the building (flat)

I had written through <ACRONYM title="Right to Information">RTI</ACRONYM> Thane Municipal Corporation ( Planning & Development) Town Planning Thane City for Occupation Certificate in which building I am staying at present which consists of Gr.+Stilt + 7 floors. They furnished me with the certificate which consists of Gr. (PT) + Stilt + (PT) +4th (PT) to 6th +7th (PT) Only.

Once again I wrote to the RTI for the occupancy certificate for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors. To which they replied stating, "they have no record of occupancy certificate of 1st , 2nd and 3 rd floors in their file."

Please tell me how I can obtain the occupancy cerificates now.

Should I appeal to Chairman of Planning & Development) Town Planning Thane City Municipal Corporation ?

Since record is not available, u may ask for inspection of relevant record of TMC. U may check veracity of claim of SPIO. U can catch hold of builder also or move Consumer Forum etc.

The architect applies for OC after completion of the project. Hence you need to approach your architect and builder for occupation certificate.

Mr Lahu S.Kolambkar Thank you for your suggestion. I had approached the architect and builder.They say the O.C. of the building is thereand it is with the T.M.C I applied by the R.T.I.to the T.M.C. for copy of the O.C.They gave me copy of O.C. of Stilt+4th +5th+6th+7th part. Once again I approached the T.M.C. for 1st 2nd and 3rd floor O.C They replied to me that this O.C. copy is not in their file.My building is fours old and each one pays assesmrnt tax of their flat to the T.M.C.Our building consist of stilt +7 floors.Each floor has only one flat .I am thinking of writing the first appeal by R.T.I to the T.M.C. to the Chairman Town PlanningDept.as the builder and the architect have no O.C.If they had they would give me the copy.Please advise as to how I can get the O.C from any other source.Thanking You.
