can we make our first application through email?

I am sorry if I have missed a post earlier, but can we make our first application through email? Can someone please post an example. Thanks

Hello skohari,
Yes, it is possible to apply for information through email. But it depends on
the Public Authority to whome you are approaching for Info since most of
the Public Authorities in India do not have a valid and working email id.
So this mode of application still remains unpractical.

Further, there is the problem of remitting the prescribed fees that should accompany the request for information as perSection 6(1) of theRTIAct. Acceptance by credit card is not yet in vogue.The other day our CIC was talking about a system of payment by SMS. But that is only a loud thinking.

Col sahib, you are absolutely right. Its wishful thinking. In a reply given by DoP&T, New Delhi the AA has informed that there is "no such provision is feasible at present in view of existing regulation"

Yes, Till now to which ever govt dept, I have sent message through email, I did bot get reply from single one and many of them are bounced.
