</TD></TR><TR><TD height=15></TD></TR><TR><TD class=kicker>Jalandhar, Oct 08: Press Information Bureau (PIB), Ministry of Information-Broadcasting, Jalandhar would organize Bharat Nirman- Public Information Campaign (PIC) from October 23 to 27.

PIC could include major programmes of the central government including National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) prime minister's new 15 point programme for the welfare of minorities, National Rural Health Mission, Right to Information Act Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Mid Day Meal scheme etc, a PIB release stated.

The PIB statement also stated that the six components of Bharat Nirman are rural electrification, rural water supply, rural roads, rural telephony and irrigation.

All the media units of Ministry of I-B like field publicity department DAVP, song - drama division, AIR, Doordarshan Kendra would be involved in creating awareness among the people about the central government schemes.

In addition to it, the state government and public sector undertakings like LIC, nationalized banks etc. would also be involved to create awareness among the people.
