Is there a provision in Post Offices to collect RTI applications and send to CPIOs

Yesterday evening on a discussion forum on TV channel, one of the participants stated that one can pay Rs10/- in a post office and the application for information under RTI act will be sent to the CPIO to whom it is intended. Is such a provion available? Or did I hear irt wrongly? Please clarify.

Now I found the source for the list of post offices accepting the RTI application forms for forwarding to CPIOs. The sources are:

In Delhi, Post offices accept applications relating to Central monistries only. Application relating to State
are not accepted. Please correct it is wrong statements.

I think States governments should also do the same thing what the Central ministries have done e.g. taking applications through Post offices. We should build a pressure on States governments to take action in this regard.

Designated post offices, [mostly HPO in district place] accept application of central govt depts/ministries. In case of central govt undertakings/organisations Post offices accept only if it has been appointed as APIO. Such list is on postal dept website. State Govts do not fall under this facility and we have to follow state rules.
