Is there any single source from where one can get information on judgements of various high courts and Supreme Court on RTI matters in last two years? Members may also discuss if it is possible to obtain verbatim decisions of various state ICs and CIC Delhi on CD which have been delivered in last two years. These CDs may be supplied to RTI activists or put on one web-site at no profit no loss basis. Such decisions are educative and informative. The judgements and decisions can be referred to/quoted while dealing with PIO, FAA or ICs, who can take correct decisions based on such information. This will reduce burden on State IC/CIC in future.
decisions of CIC and SICs are available by and large. What are not available are judgements of H.Cs and S.C.Possibly somewhere they are there and my search is on.
Different judgments of High courts are available in the concerned High Court and these may be available after following of the specific procedures required in this regard, as usual . My query is whether these judgments/orders are also available with the help of application submitted to the respective PIOs of concerned High Courts or not ?
It would be really helpful if any member can provide the proper information in this regard .
in the scheme of RTI, there is not much of a role for high courts and supreme court.all litigations arising from RTI,are taken up by the information commissions barring those whoch involve fundamental rights. cic decisions are available freely in their website, yearwise. the website of TN state SIC is under preparation.
tamilnadu state information commission historical decision -cb cid enq.
Excellent.
This is a common path taken by PIO's that info is not available and they along with the custodian of info go scot free. No more now.
May be the CIC would take a different view on such pleas by PIO(s).
