demanding me for society transfer fees

Hi,

6 months back, I have purchased a flat which is 9 years oldf rom the builder, I have paid the entire value to the builder,The sociey was already formed and the builder has cleared all the pending society maintanance charges, till date,

Now the society is demanding me for society transfer fees of Rs. 15000/-to put my name in the board.

Is it necessory to pay this amount to the society,

They threatening me for that,

What should i do,
