Marksheets not issued Dear friends I have done Btech from U P tech Lucknow. I had 2 back papers while I passed out. I have cleared these back papers one year back. Good thing that result was dislayed on university website. It has been more than one year now and I have not yet recieved the marksheets. I have forwarded an application along with my result printout several times through my college and have submitted one personally at UPTU Office. I have been sending application through courier, E mail and Fax. My college authority say that they have already forwarded the matter to examination controller but nothing is being done. I have to apply for MBA and the last dates of all the colleges is passing one by one. I have scored good marks in CAT and MAt but am unable to apply for a college since I dont have my marksheets and I even dont know my aggregate percentage. I have very less time left as only very few good colleges are left to apply. I know one day I will recieve my marksheets as I have cleared the exam but dont know when. because if its get late I would not be able to do MBA this year and I wil have to waste another one year as my one year had already been wasted due to those two backs. I am not in a financial condition to do an MBA next year. Why dont these university people understand a parent cant pay for their children fees throught life. They have other liabilities too. I am really depressed as I have been struggling for my marksheets for complete one year. Dont know how many phone calls I have done to the university. I really want to know is there any way in which I can get my marksheets in next 10 days and atleast they can tell me my aggregate percentase within 3 to 4 days. I am afraid I dont get into any trouble. Means can university people play with my marks and destroy my life if I file an RTI case against them. I really need to know what to do. Is RTI a good way to get marksheets from my own university. I heard of some ACT 7 where you can get it in 2 days. What is that. and if I have to file an RTI application at UPTU lucknow in whose name should the draft be etc. Please if somebody can help me with all these information.
I will be really grateful. If possible mail me at (Posting of mail ids is against forum rules-hence deleted)

Re: Marksheets not issued
No need to fear about the consequences of using RTI. The university can't harm you. The only concern is that you have limited time and the RTI procedure can prove to be lengthy if it goes into appeal stage.
Please go through the "All About RTI" links on the homepage to get an idea of the RTI procedure.
Feel free to revert in case of further queries.

Re: Marksheets not issued
Thanks man , thanks a lot.
I have gone through those pages , however its not easy to understand the procedure. see I would make myself more clear. this is my university website link
Uttar Pradesh Technical University
I have the name of the PIO . I have already done 3 faxes to him. I will send one application today by post too. As you have the name of PIO now. SO I need to know that in whose name the draft would be for rti fees and shall i mention in the application that "Please work on this under some act (like its mentioned on this website that there is some act 7 in which they will have to reply in two days, so shall i quote this in the application).See the basis is that I need my marksheets so shall I straight away right an application and along with that i can keep the draft for RTI fee and courier it to him? What would be the right approach.
Thanks for your help
Regards,
Prateek
