Re: rti through assistant information officer

Dear Shri rambalani,
Under section 5(2) of RTI Act 2005 you may submit any RTI application to Asst. Information Officer . In case you submit application to AIO the time for providing information will be allowed to PIO is 35 days. You may address the application to Assistant Information Officer or PIO . The PIO is responsible to provide the information . The APIO is only working to take applications on behalf of PIO .
