RTI Act: Helpline mooted BHUBANESWAR: Wellknown social activist and Magsaysay awardee Arvind Kejriwal, widely credited with activating the right to information movement in the country, has suggested a call centre-like facility in the State which can aid people to derive benefits of the RTI Act. Such a facility, he said, had proved immensely popular in Bihar. The centre records the voices of the illiterate poor over phone and drafts them in a manner that can be put before the RTI Commission for information. Orissa should also follow suit and make the Act more effective by reaching out to maximum number of people, he said while addressing mediapersons here on Wednesday. Kejriwal was here to attend a national seminar on the subject organised by Krupajal Group of Institutions. Convener of Orissa Suchana Adhikar Mancha N Mohapatra was present.
