Railway - refund - IRCTC

    Railway - refund - IRCTC

    I had booked ticket for Kanpur for 14.2.2008. Due to some technical reason Indian Railways could not provide 2A accommodation. This fact had recorded in the ticket I have applied for refund in Feb 2008 but your department is not refunding the excess amount. I have personally submitted original ticket to their office on 11.3.2008 . Travel details are again given below for your immediate reference.

    Pnr Number : 2445971927
    Transaction ID : 0037431829
    Train No : 2452
    Train Name : SHRAM SHKTI EXP
    From Station : NEW DELHI(NDLS)
    To Station : KANPUR CENTRAL(CNB)
    Date : 14/2/2008
    Class : 2A downgraded to 3A
    Boarding : NEW DELHI(NDLS)
    Res Upto : KANPUR CENTRAL(CNB)
    Quota : General

    I have written to IRCTC office at Delhi, Railway H.Q, I have even written to Railway minister too. I have not received my refund. I am sending reminders regularly even now. Can I get my refund.?

    How I can get the details from Railways as to what happened to my refund application?

    P.S. Ticket is in the name of son Robins. I can provide all the copies and acknowledgement, if required.

    I have already applied to IRCTC as detailed below. I have provided all the informations. Initially they responded to my e mail, now they are not responding to mails and letters send by hand and courier: One of previous letter copy is given below

    Refund of ticket

    Dear Sir

    This letter may be treated as my final notice. If I am not received your reply within 15 days I will be compelled to approach higher authorities.

    I had booked ticket for Kanpur for 14.2.2008. Due to some technical reason Indian Railways could not provide 2A accommodation. This fact has recorded in the ticket (see the attached copy). I have applied for refund in Feb 2008 but your department is not refunding the excess amount. I have personally submitted original ticket to your office on 11.3.2008 (see the attached copy). Travel details are again given below for your immediate reference.
