Lost voter id.... what to do next?

    Lost voter id.... what to do next?

    Sir,
    I have lost my Voter id during ,travel, I have xerox of my missing voter id, what are the procedures I need to follow to issue a duplicate copy, one more thing is that I actually belong to Agartala(North East) but lost my id in Chennai, where do I apply for the new copy.

    U have to apply at agartala only with dist election office with photocopy of voters ID card. They will issue duplicate thereof. However after 2 months of your appln for duplicate if U do not get reply, you can file RTI appln by resorting to:

    Central Govt appln:

    Pending:

    RTI appln is to be addressed to CPIO of concerned Dist Election Office which originally issued ID card.
