Civic secretary's office to put records on web PUNE: The official records of the municipal secretary's office will be opened for common people. Replying to an application under the Right of Information (RTI) Act, Sharad Samel, municipal secretary and appeal authority in the case, ordered that all information related to the municipal secretary's office should be on the PMC website within a month. Prabhakar Kondhalkar, a resident of Chavannagar in Dhankawadi, had earlier made the demand under RTI seeking information about the functioning of the municipal secretary's office. The information put on the website would include resolutions, various committee agendas and other related information. In his reply to Kondhalkar, the municipal secretary said that agendas of various committee meetings are already being displayed in the PMC main building and also at ward offices. Meanwhile, Shivdas Salunkhe, a resident of Erandwana, was denied property papers by the PMC saying that the particular record was not available. "I had demanded papers related to property in Erandwana - survey number 36 under RTI Act and the PMC said that the records were not available," said Salunkhe.
