Last month, The electric consumption meter installed in our residence showed abnormally high reading of 2000 units in excess of normal reading. Complaint registered at our local electricity board and the foreman checked the meter with 100 watts power lamp connected to the meter which emitted 6 pulses in one minute and reported the meter to be correct. Kindly confirm the correct method of testing the meter. regards. Bawanawas, Kayalpatnam, tiruchendur tk, tuticorin dt. tamilnadu.Last edited by bawa2009; 06-23-2009 at 09:28 PM.. |

Why don't you file a RTI application with TNEB and ask for certified copy of any Rules, Regulations, Notices, Orders, Documents, etc. which prescribe the correct method of testing a electricity meter at the consumers premises.
