sachin21t, Can you please clarify which state do you pertain to OR are referring to ? Persuant to the RTI Act 2005, which is common to Central and States, the Central Government and each State Government have framed rules for administering the act and prescribing Fees, Forms, Rules, etc... Even High Courts and Legislatures have framed their own Rules. This is the reason why you find differences in the "operational" part of the RTI Act. In fact, there is a strong case or making all Rules uniform.......but ours is a federal country and each wants to defend its "turf". This was one of the recommendations of the conference of CIC/SIC's held in New Delhi a few months back. |

If semi-govt organisations [e.g. NGOs/trusts etc] are controlled or substantially funded by central govt, fees of Rs.10/- will be applicable. If such organisations are controlled or substantially funded by a state govt, then rules of concerned state would apply. |
