Sub: NRI - Purchase of Plot from Tamilnadu Housing Board - Entire amount in 1998-Non receipt of Sale Deed-Grievances-Reg. This is to inform you that I am working as a Software Engineer in USA for the past 12 years. I have purchased one Plot bearing No.H-15 at Sivakasi Ph II from Madurai Special Division, Tamilnadu Housing Board in 1998. I had already paid the entire cost of Rs.1,30,675/= towards the aforesaid plot in 1998 as per their No Due Certificate No.R5/2129/98 dated 5-11-1999. I am very sorry to inform you that in spite of my repeated requests, I have not received Sale Deed from the Executive Engineer & Adn. Officer, Madurai Special Division, Tamilnadu Housing Board, Madurai-625010 so far, although more than 11 years had passed. "Tamil Nadu Housing Board -Department of Housing and Urban Development CITIZENS CHARTER OUR SERVICE COMMITMENTS ARE: we shall 1. Issue sale deeds for the plots/houses/flats within 30 days, from date of application." I have already sent so many e-mails to the concerned higher authorities in this regard. To my great disappointment, I have not received even an acknowledgment or reply so far. Example: Mr.X has paid entire cost regarding the purchase of one Plot bearing No.H-15 at Sivakasi Ph II from Madurai Special Division, Tamilnadu Housing Board in 1998. Inspite of repeated request the sale deed for the same is not yet been given. kindly sent the answers / document copies for the following Under RTI act 2005.1. provide me the document copies which contains the purchaser and owner of Plot bearing No.H-15 at Sivakasi Ph II from Madurai Special Division, Tamilnadu Housing Board 2. provide me the Receipt copies for the payments towards the Plot bearing No.H-15 at Sivakasi Ph II from Madurai Special Division, Tamilnadu Housing Board. 3. kindly provide me the Copy of No Due Certificate No.R5/2129/98 dated 5-11-1999 4. And some more questions as you like to ask. (remember! RTI is different tool. You canot ask as why it was not provided? Thrugh RTI . But you can get the things done by asking informations)Conclude the letter as.. If any details are not available in your office, I kindly request you to take action as 6(3) of RTI act. Here with I affixed Rs 10 court fee stamp as an application fee. In addition to this any additional fee if I have to pay, kindly inform me for how many pages, how many rupees for that, at what head I have to pay.Address this letter to the Executive Engineer & Adn. Officer, Madurai Special Division, Tamilnadu Housing Board, Madurai-625010. Give the full address of sender. Paste a ten rupees court fee stamp ( which is readly available in big stationary shops / in front of any court in TN) Send this application in Registered post with acknowledgement card. Dear Balamurugan, please confine yourself to only one user id as suggested by Mr Ambrish. The suggestion of Antony Devaraj to send an RTI application in the name of "anybody in Sivakasi is likely to be counter productive. Such an RTI application seeking information about your land deal by anybody else is bound to get rejected as a third party information . As regards your land price, please check up the original offer letter from TNHB to find out if they had given you a final cost price at the time of sale offer or only a tentative cost and also if their offer or sale agreement contains any cause for cost-escalation at a future date before execution of the sale deed.

TNHB, Madurai spl. division has mentioned in their Plot allotment letter dt.31.7.1998 as "The Tentative cost of Plot is Rs.1,20,700/- as on 31-7-1998". I have paid Rs.1,30,675/- I believe the excess amount paid by me may be towards interest. Now I don't want to pay any extra amount. I want to surrender the plot allotted to me and get back the amount paid by me along with 24% interest p.a. from 1998. |

Koteeswaran, Public Information Officer & Executive Engineer (Q.C), TNHB, Chennai to the Public Information Officer , (Divisional Accountant) Madurai Housing Unit,TNHB, Ellis Nagar, Madurai as per his letter No.RTI /29803/09 dated 16-07-2009 (Application Received ID No.585 dated 16-07-2009) with a instructions to send the reply/information directly to the petitioner within the stipulated date without fail. I am very sorry to inform you that I have not received even a courtesy reply from the above PIO , Madurai Housing Unit, TNHB even though 45 days had passed. I am not aware of the reason for his irresponsibility and negligence. The above PIO did not give respect andhonor the RTI Act,2005. I therefore request you to kindly look into the above matter and arrange to get me the details/copies of documents sought for in my above application immediately. Dear Balamurugan, please avoid using email ids and your complete address while making posts here. Also please stick to the default font of the forum and avoid copy-pasting from word file. Avoid starting different threads on the same subject. Continuity of the subject matter gets affected. What you have mentioned in the previous posts appears more as a letter to the SCIC than a complaint /appeal made to the SCIC under RTI Act. You have already been provided with various links in the directory/guide section for Tamilnadu RTI rules. Please follow them to the dot if you are making an appeal/complaint to SCIC.
