Need to know whether a case is filed against a person by the Enforcement Agency

Dear All

Please need advise for my friend who is in a difficult situation. Over a property dispute, the other party is threathening him to go for out of court settlement otherwise they will file a case with the Enforcement Agency.

In fact they also showed him a letter which was issued by the Enforcement Agency (division not known) about 3 weeks back, which was issued in his name. But the copy of the letter was not shared to him.

There is no letter which he has till now received from the enforcement Agency. Pls advise what procedure he has to follow, to know whether any case is ever filed or any letter issued in his name by the Enforcement Agency.

Comments at the earliest will be highly appreciated.

In all probabilities, the letter must be fake. If any law enforcement agency issues a letter in a person's name, it will also send the letter to him.
