Question: Revision of Fellowship

I am a Part time Research Associate in one of the universities in the country. This is equal to Post-Doctorate. I have a Ph.D in the concerned subject. This fellowship was advertised by the UGC in 2003-2004 under the name Part-time Research Associateship for women (PTRAW). The fellowship is 6000/- per month only. UGC has increased all the other scholarships like JRF, SRF, Research Associate (full time) with effect from 2006 but there is no mention of the above mentioned scholarship. Even a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) gets more scholarship who is pursuing his Ph.D. than what I am getting at present. Don't you think its unfair & needs to be revised too in par with the others? To whom should I write to asking for the same. Thanks.

RTI might not be of much help here.
It can only help you in getting a copy of the current rules for fellowships for your position, but will not help you in knowing the reason for the lower amount, as compared to others.
