How much time will be taken to start office work by a newly oppointed CIC IC ?

Smt. Omita Paul was administered the oath of office of Information Commissioner by the Chief Information Commissioner, Shri Wajahat Habibullah on Date: 13.05.2009.

Till date 50 days is over. There is not a single decesion
will be ordered by IC Smt. Omita Paul.

Question is,

How much time will be taken to start office work by a newly oppointed CIC IC ?

IT MEANS NOW A DAYS SHE DON'T HAVE POST OF IC IN CIC ?
YET SHE GIVES RESIGNATION OR NOT ?

Of course she has resigned from the post of IC.

She is now special advisor to Finance Minister. She did not give any decisions, because she resigned even before any workload was allotted to her by CIC!

This is a classic case of political favouritism of the worst kind in a democracy. It is very sad that this curse has entered the CIC. Omita Paul, a well-known favourite of Pranab Mukherjee, was appointed as Information Commissioner and took oath of this office on 13 May 2009, three days before the declaration of the results of the Lok Sabha elections, when there were widespread apprehensions that UPA may not return to power. Therefore, Omita Paul ensured her future by getting into the CIC. However, as it happened, UPA came back to power with thumping majority and Pranab Mukherjee became the Foreign Minister in the new dispensation. Omita Paul returned back as Advisor to Pranab Mukherjee!

The appointments of CICs /SIcs should be made from the persons who has some concern and commitment towards RTI act.
how much money might have wasted in the period as an IC and doing no work and delivering no 'orders' another doubt is -- why not , even a small work has been alloted to Smt . Omita Paul Does the Chief CIC knows beforehand that she will be better placed in near future and alooting and re alloting of any work is a waste exercise.
