Question: Definition of Information under RTI

I have been replied by that the information sought is not falling under the definition of information. So what is the definition? I mean if I will ask for the clarification of a rule by asking a question based on an imaginary or conceptual example, can the information be rejected on the ground that the same is not covered under the definition of information under RTI?

Dear Kailash,

Ambarish has given you correct advice. please follow it.

The thumb rule about information is that anything which is available in material form in records of PA is an information.

Hence explanations, seeking answer to imaginary questions etc. cannot be information.

However, by cleverly drafting the application the desired result can be obtained.
