Is the Cooperative Housing Society Act and Rules applicable in Gujarat State Similar to the one in Maharashtra.

Are the same bye-laws and Forms (Transfer of Shares, Nomination & Application for Membership etc.) applicable in Gujarat that are applicable in Maharashtra?

I used to live in Mumbai and I am quite used to the rules that were there. Here in Surat the rules seem to be swept away with a broom.
