RTI Publicity Spots on Radio and Television
The Government is going to publicise RTI Act through publicity spots on Radio and TV.
The list of TV Channels and Radio Stations, on which these spots will appear is attached to this post.
(Although this is strictly speaking not an RTI Event, nevertheless posting in this section since this did not fit into any other section).

Re: RTI Publicity Spots on Radio and Television
I saw one on TV yesterday (Didn't note the channel)Sponsorer
Shows one wise old woman from a village background, explaining benefits of using RTI to other villagers.
Then she goes on to explain that if you want the information in electronic form like CD, this expense will have to be seperately paid by the applicant.
Thus, like so many 'government issue' ads, it tries to give all the information, and misses to make point for its target audience.
Small radio spots, in regional language, containing success stories and simple instructions about bare necessities of making application will be far better. And small booklets, again in every day regional language, will also be useful. Once the people of villages and small towns take up to RTI, we will see its real potential for bringing change in peoples lives.
