I want to know that Is RTI Act is applicable in public school affiliated with CBSE or registered under societies registration acts running by a central body as a chain school.

dear ramanand43, if the teachers of the school receive their salary from public funds, then the school is subject to rti. kindly make discreet enquiries with anyone of the teachers you can get hold of.

Moorthyji is right. During one my RTI hearings, I happened to witness a similar situation where in a privately managed school in a Uttar Pradesh village, where the operational overheads were met through public funds... and the Judge admitted the plea of the complainant.
