Hi!

I want information regarding the names of the boards of directors of a listed company. i tried the ministry of corporate affairs, but they have data only for the past 8 years. can i use RTI to get information of previous years?

I think you should contact the concerned Registrar of Companies Office under whose jurisdiction the registered office of the Public Limited Company comes.

Alternatively, you can visit the PFO ( Public Facilitation Office ) of the ROC where you can view the documents on the screen and if the information you require is not available, there is another option in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs where details about how to get information not available can be asked for.

You can use RTI to get this information.
You will have to address your query to the PIO in the office of the Registrar of Companies in Delhi,. Details are available at:

We may use RTI in every organisation as every private organisation is also subject to fullfill so many legal obligation. The public ltd company is also liable to disclose so many things as per law.

i tried Roc. they have data only for the last 6 years or something.
i wasnt sure whether information about a company comes in the purview or not..
