Question: Private unaided recognised schools in Delhi

Sir,
I had asked for information w.r.t. spare funds with Private unaided recognised schools in Delhi from the Directorate of Education, Govt of Delhi. The PIO replies that as these schools are not a Public Authority as defined by recent order of CIC dt. 14.7.09, no such information can be shared. Is the PIO correct or should I pursue the case ?

PIO should submit details available with the dept and rest of information he should seek from schools under the law through which the dept monitors these schools.

In case of CIC decision of 14-07-09 applicant had sought info from unaided school directly. He should have sought details from Education dept as U did. Your claim for info is justified as per section 2 [f] of RTI Act.
