    Terrace Repairs

    Hello

I am from Mumbai residing in Navjivan Co-operative Housing Society. I stay on top floor and face a lot of leakage issues. I had applied Tar (Damar) on the terrace at my cost but still leakage problem persists. Terrace is in a very bad shape and needs to be repaired entirely.

I had approached my society who in turn approached builidng secretary. When secretary approached to the members of the building, they all denied to contribute towards the repair. Members of the building are asking us (Flat owners) to bear the entire cost although they are also using the terrace.

I am a service person and cannot afford to repair entire terrrace at my cost specially when everybody is also using it.

I want to repair my house from inside to avoid any harm to my family but cannot carry the same since the terrace leakage would still persist.

Since the terrace is not my own property, i want ot know what are the BMC / Society rules applicable for terrace repairs. How should i proceed in such situation.

    Please help. Thanks !!
