Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act: Query regarding House Alteration.

Hello,

I am residing in Mumbai, and the society is registered under Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act. I wish to carry out structural changes in the house, which will not affect any beams/main walls affecting strenght of the building. Following changes are detailed.

1. Join the bathroom and toilet to combine into a single entity- Inside Wall to be brought down.
2. Open Kitchen Space into Living Room- Inside Wall to be brought down.
3. Extend Half Windows to Floor (French) windows, without extending them vertically.

Please suggest if this is allowed, whether society can object to the same, is the objection valid. Also, please suggest reference from appropriate bylaws.

You may file your revised paln for approval to the muncipal or town planner who will approve the plans and charge some fee.
