Protest against fee hike in Chandigarh RTI is alright, and strongly desired, but if you donot talk for same fee hike in Haryana, why not make your case weaker by not asking for the same fee hike reduction in Haryana.

Besides, a matter of grave importance is being overlooked. The RTI Act was enacted because the bureaucrats were indulging in corruptions, pilferages, mis-deeds, but due t secretive working and mischievously taking shelter under the Official Secrets Act all informations were withheld, and wrong doings got undetected, and culprits remained un-punished. The RTI Commissioner Mr Kahyap has retired, and in its place why another Chief Commissioner is being searched only from bureaucrats alone ? What is Burning Brain society doing, and why not obtain a stay order and see that a person of public imminence, outside of bureaucracy is chosen and appointed. Already, 99 % of all Chief Commissioners are from the bureaucracy. Haryana Information Commissioner has dismissal record of not punishing defaulters even against very serious lapses, and so have, by and large, all others, because a bird of the same flock will shield his mates.

And now their site is not working since last many days. Not taking action even after repeated reminders clearly indicate that they have done it intentionally.

A combined effort is needed from all of us .The fees should be uniform and as far as I think the RTI should be centerlised and all the rules should be one in whole country, not only fee matter. This is the biggest problem and is going to effect the decision of cic etc.in the future.
