    You can file a RTI Application with the PIO of the local police zone under which the police station falls.

    The RTI application has to be as per the RTI Rules and Fees for that particular state. These are available in the Guide segment of the portal:

    need help

    my husband was arrested on 3rd of july and he was under the police custody for 4 hours.then he was released after signing a bail bond.the police refused to provide him the copy of F.I.R. based on which he was arrested and they even refused to tell him under which sections he was can i get the F.I.R. copy.

    How to get attested copy of FIR from Police, Indore

    I am in Delhi, have a xerox copy of FIR but insurance co. is asking for original or attested copy. When I sent someone to concerned police station, they said the Complainant has to come personally.

    How I can get attested copy of FIR and know the status of FIR from police department, Indore. Pl convey name and address of officer to whom application should be sent and how to remit the application money.

    Through RTI one can get 'CERTIFIED' COPY not 'Attested' Copy. one can easly get FIR copy by applying RTI to the respective Police station.
