Update and correction of voter id card

I am a resident of Tollygunge, Kolkata-700040.
I need to have my Voter ID card corrected and updated with current information.
Please let me know the nearest election commissioner office/ or the right place to approcah.

The information in my voter id is wrong. My name is with spelling mistakes and my adrress is wrong.So I have a difficult in using my voter ID card as a identification proof card...and I dont have other cards.So I need to get voter ID card . I had filled up my voters applciation form and submitted at the relevant jurisdiction in March 2009. However, I have not been able to vote at both the subsequent elections since my name has not been registered under thr voters list. I have an acknowledgement of the application submitted and intend to take serious action on the authorities, through media and / or any other resources. Could anyone pls. offer to help ?

Madam,

In my case though I could not get the Voter ID cards, my name was there in the list but the difference was that it was not matching with the list published by CEO, Maharashtra and the one which was found with one party office. If you know constituency and Ward number you can find out whether the name is there or not. Pl. search from the official site of CEO i.e. ceo.maharashtra.gov.in or you have to approach the office where you have submitted the application. If they are also not giving a reply, then you may write an application under RTI Act.
