    Hi Ambrish,

    Tats a totally diff issue.

wat is now sought to be clarified or decided is whether an RTI application can be addressed to a judge in his capacity as a PA, and whether he is duty bound to respond to it, even though there is a PIO for each of the high courts and also the Sup Crt.

Hope u can enlighten by initiating a debate on this site.

    Dear Mani

RTI can be addressed to PIO of the concerned PA for information on that Individual. In this case can addressed to PIO of the Court (concerned). Earlier in a decision CIC has stated that CJI is PA under RTI Act but later the same was ruled out. Please see: Judges’ wealth: Info body seeks opinions

    Hi Ambrish,

The link denies access to the section.

Anyway, my question Im afraid has not yet been grasped. It runs as follows,

Can a judge (of high Court ) be addressed with an RTI request in his name & designation ? If not why ?
