| CPIO [who is dy. gen. manager] of a prominent nationalised bank did not enclose any enclosures, but stated in letter that it is enclosed. Applicant represented to CPIO and requested him to fax and also email by scanning the required papers. CPIO keeps mum. FAA has advised CPIO to mail required papers once again. Thus even senior officers of nationalised bank resort to such tricky and dishonest methods for avoiding papers to applicants.

jps50, Leave alone RTI applications. I have come across several such tricks played out even in respect of court cases. In one such instance, in a writ appeal, where a bank is the appellant, every strategy was used to ensure that the respondent was kept in the dark about the hearing and got the case decided in their favour exparte. Now the only option for the respondent is to approach the Supreme Court. With your experience in this industry, such tricks should not surprise you. Better to prepare yourself for all eventualities right from day one.
