pnsyiem, The RTI application has to be filed with the PIO (Public Information Officer) of the respective department. 1. The list of PIO's for various departments in Meghalaya is given at: List of Public Authority,Appllate Authority,Public Information Officer,Asst. Public Information Officer Just check for the exact department you want or the department under which your Public Authority is categorised under. 2. Please remember that your application to any Public Authority operating under the State Government has to be as per the Meghalaya RTI Rules. From the following link, it can be seen that all rules in Meghalaya are the same as Central Rules for RTI: http://megrti.gov.in/rules.pdf So, you can pay your application fee by mode of IPO (Indian Postal Order), Cash, DD or BC. For BPL category, there are no fees to be paid. |
