Re: Regulations / court decisions regarding mobile tower erections in residential area
Unfortunately, Indian telecom industry is considered one of highest growing market in world. But the Department of Telecommunication, in spite of having numerous Act,rules and regulations does not have any norms/regulation on tower construction.Sponsorer
Court decisions are equally unhelpful in this regard as there is no such provisions on which courts can rely upon.
You can do is to inquire with local municipal corporation to check if mobile company has obtained construction permission.
Further, this portal provides guidance about RTI related query, so you may want to post your query at Big Helpers where you can get suitable response.

Mobile tower
There are already 6/7 mobile towers on terrace of my residence. Now our land loard has given permission for 3 more towers I want to know what is the law in this regards ours is about 70 years old class "A" RCC building.
Our landlord do not stay in the building & most of the tennents are tennant under old Mumbai rent act.
I want to know if there is any need for landlord to optain the NOC from the tennants? I also want to know what can be done under law to protect the residents/surrounding people from hazardious effects of the mobile tower.
I will appreciate , if you could kindly help me by furnishing the relavant rules in india including any decisions of courts.
Thanking you,
Regards
